Free-Mixing?!

Muslimah.tk

Free-Mixing?! I commonly hear sisters and brothers alike justifying being with a non-mehram
with all sorts of excuses such as, free-mixing in uni for ‘Islamical’ purposes is allowed (dawah)…
or we’re not free-mixing, OFCOURSE… how silly of me; they where just discussing Islam in seclusion?!

Subhan’Allah

Many evidences show us that free mixing is not allowed in Islam…

Allah (swt) says: “And when you ask the ladies for anything, ask them from before a screen.
That makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs.” [Sûrah al-Ahzâb: 53]

For women to go about uncovered in the company of men is a gross violation of the command
given in this ayah! Yet, our Muslim woman go around half naked with their hair flinging around…
who are u trying to impress?!

But shaking hands is just a friendly/welcoming gesture… we must no be rude to the disbelievers…
its bad for dawah? Do u honestly believe that???

Umaymah b Raqîqah said: “I came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) with a group of the women
of Madinah to swear fealty for Islam. The women informed Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him)
that they wished to swear fealty to him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘I do not shake hands
with women.  The way I accept the pledge from one woman is the same as with one hundred women.”
[al-Muwatta’, Sunan al-Tirmidhî, Sunan al-Nasa’î and Sunan Ibn Majah].

The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said: “It is better for one of you to be pierced by a steel pin in his
head than to touch the hand of a strange woman.” [Al-Mundhirî mentions that all the narrators of this
hadîth are trustworthy. Al-Albânî classifies it as a good hadîth in Ghâyah al-Marâm (no. 403).]

Its better to be pierced by a steel pin… think twice next time u shake hands with a strange woman!!!
You may not get a job because u did not shake hands at a interview… but do u actually think its worth
risking ur deen?!

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The best of rows in prayer for the man is the first row and the
worst for him is the last, and the best of rows for the women is the last row and the worst for her is the first.”
[Sahîh Muslim].

If this advice is being given for men and women when they are in their purest frame of mind and engaged
in prayer, then how should they be expected to conduct themselves in other situations?

Allah says: “Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will
make for greater purity for them.” and says: “And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty.” [Sûrah al-Nûr: 30-31]

Insh’Allah think twice next time u mingle, free mixing, or just chill with ur non mehram Muslim brother or sister!
May Allah-swt protect us from all sins…Ameen
